PRESENTAZIONE “KIDDYCAR”

“Kiddycar è un luogo dove il suono assume il silenzio senza esaurirsi in esso…”

Sospeso tra le trame sottili di un pop elettro-acustico di matrice intima e intensa, il mondo sonoro dei Kiddycar oscilla fra i colori caldi del pop e le ombre enigmatiche di un rock siderale - dotato di una drammaticità che pure tende sempre a scivolate morbide e curiosamente leggere in bilico tra melodie aeree e dondolanti e venature dark - fra testi esistenziali ora nichilisti ora infantilmente spalancati su immagini aurorali dove la vita si risveglia.
Accenni, sfumature, passaggi, paesaggi, voci dell’essere incarnate da un'unica voce femminile che traccia con leggerezza i confini e con uguale delicatezza li infrange sconfinando dall'una all'altra dimensione…
Un insieme compatto, infantile e drammatico, delicato e potente, siderale e mite…un mondo complesso e vario dove suoni, atmosfere e contenuti “nevicano” leggeri coprendo, confondendo e restituendo una misteriosa e densa compattezza d’insieme.

I Kiddycar presentano i videoclip dei brani “Your Desert” e “Girogirotondo” (Special Guest nel video di “Girogirotondo”, oltre che nel brano, Andrea Chimenti)

Settembre 2007

Esce in Italia il primo album della band “Forget About” (Seahorse Recordings/Goodfellas)

I Kiddycar realizzano a Berlino il videoclip del brano Human Logic - Almasen Artisti Associati - che entra nella rosa dei finalisti al P.i.v.i. di Milano insieme al video clip del brano “Human Logic”.

I Kiddycar sono presenti all’interno della rubrica “Scommettiamo su” sull’ Home Page di MTV per la durata straordinaria di due settimane.

Ottobre 2007

I Kiddycar, in collaborazione con Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera), realizzano il brano “You save me from understanding more” pubblicato nella compilation “Silber sounds of Halloween”  dalla Silber Records, U.S.A.

Novembre 2007

“Forget About” è stampato e distribuito in Giappone dalla Xtal Records di Tokyo.

Parte il “Forget About Live Tour” e i Kiddycar saranno presenti per tutti i mesi a venire in svariate città
d’Italia. Il tour include live e interviste in diretta in varie radio tra cui Radio Sherwood, Novaradio, Radio Wave etc.

“Radio Rai 1” inserisce i Kiddycar in rotazione nella propria play list.

Dicembre 2007

I Kiddycar sono ospiti a Village, Radio Rai 1, live + intervista in diretta.

I Kiddycar presentano ufficialmente, presso il Teatro di S. Giovanni Valdarno, nell’ambito del Performing Media Lab, festiva sulle arti multimediali diretto da Carlo Infante, il videoclip del brano “Human Logic”, realizzato a Berlino da Almasen Artisti Associati nel settembre 2007 con il sostegno della “Berlinishe Galerie”

Il 24 Dicembre esce ufficialmente l’LP “How this word resounds”, (vinile 33 giri in edizione limitata, 500 copie numerate a mano), realizzato dai Kiddycar con l’artista Christian Rainer e pubblicato da Fridge Records, distribuzione Goodfellas. Distribuzione digitale Seahorse Recordings.

Forget About è distribuito anche in Svizzera francese dalla Phenix Records

I Kiddycar + Christian Rainer sono segnalati nella Home Page di MTV e l’LP “How This word resounds” è proposto in ascolto in esclusiva per una settimana sul portale.

Il videoclip di “Dit de l’amour” (brano d’apertura del LP How this word resounds”) è trasmesso da “All-Music”

Febbraio e Marzo 2007

Radiounomusica propone i Kiddycar tra gli artisti che considera il meglio delle sue scelte di musica italiana, dal pop, al rock, al soul e al jazz, sul player online del sito Eurosonic.net. Eurosonic è un organismo che fa parte dell'EBU, Unione delle radio pubbliche europee di cui Radio1 è parte attiva.

Venerdì 7 Marzo, i Kiddycar sono ufficialmente invitati dalla Rai a tenere un concerto nell’ambito dei concerti del Venerdi sera della Rai, in diretta dell’auditorium della sala A del Centro Rai di Via Asiago a Roma.

Nell’occasione i Kiddycar debuttano con una nuova formazione arricchita da un trio di archi: Andrea Cortesi e Gloria Ferdinandi (I e II violino), Paco Mengozzi  (violoncello).
Il debutto di questa formazione apre le porte a nuove possibilità espressive e fa da premessa ad una collaborazione feconda e duratura tra il nucleo dei Kiddycar e il trio ad essi unitosi.

In seguito alla presentazione dei kiddycar fatta dalla Rai all’Europa sul sito Eurosonic.net i Kiddycar cominciano ora a proporre e presentare il loro live oltre le frontiere del proprio paese e, come prima tappa, nel mese di Aprile, i Kiddycar  (nell’occasione insieme a Christian Rainer) si esibiranno in Romania con un concerto organizzato nella capitale rumena dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Bucarest.

“Kiddycar is a place where sound assumes silence without being depleted by it...”
Suspended in the fine web of an electro-acoustic pop with an intimate and intense stamp, Kiddycar’s sound world oscillates between the warm colours of pop and the enigmatic shadows of an astral rock – dramatic, yet always tending to slide into the soft and curiously light; poised between airy, swaying melodies and darker veins – between existential lyrics, at times nihilistic, at times childishly wide open to images of dawn where life reawakens.
Suggestions, nuances, passages, landscapes, the voices of existence brought into being by a single female voice that lightly traces the confines, and then with the same delicacy invades them, crossing frontiers from one dimension into another...
A compact whole, childlike and dramatic, delicate and powerful, profound and gentle... a complex, varied world where sounds, atmospheres and contents fall like gentle snow, covering, confounding and restoring a mysterious and dense compactness to the whole.

A BIT OF HISTORY...
May 2007
First, official emergence with the EP, Small Things, released by Minuta Records – Switzerland.
Kiddycar present the videoclips for the tracks Your Desert and Girogirotondo (with special guest Andrea Chimenti in the video and on the track Girogirotondo).
September 2007
Italian release of the first album Forget About(Seahorse Recordings/Goodfellas).
Kiddycar make a videoclip of the track Human Logic in Berlin with Almasen Associated Artists, which enters the list of finalists at the Milan P.I.V.I. together with the video of the track Human Logic.
Kiddycar are featured on MTV’s Home Page column, Let’s Bet On... for the extraordinary period of two weeks.
October 2007
Kiddycar record the song You Save Me From Understanding More in collaboration with Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera), released in the compilation Silber Sounds of Halloween by Silber Records, U.S.A.
November 2007
Forget About is pressed and distributed in Japan by Xtal Records, Tokyo.
The Forget About Live Tourbegins, and over the following months Kiddycar perform live in various Italian cities. The tour includes live performances and interviews on various radio stations, among them Sherwood, Novaradio, Radio Wave etc.
Radio Rai 1 includes Kiddycar in its rotating play list.
December 2007
Kiddycar are guests on Village, Radio Rai 1, with a live performance and interview.

Kiddycar + Christian Rainer appear on the Home Page of MTV, and the LP How This Word Resounds can be heard exclusively for a week on their portal.
The videoclip of Dit de l’amour (opening track on the LP How This Word Resounds) is transmitted by All-Music.
February-March 2008
Radio 1 Music propose Kiddycar among the artists they consider the best among their selection of Italian music in the categories pop, rock, soul and jazz, on the online website player of Eurosonic.net. Eurosonic is an entity forming part of the EBU, the Union of European Public Radio Stations, of which Radio 1 is an active member.
Kiddycar are officially invited by the Rai to hold a live concert on Friday, 7th March, as part of the Rai’s Friday evening concert programme, live from Hall A at the Rai Centre in Via Asiago, Rome.
