The three of them share the same, strong passion on international\nmusic, showing a great interest for alternative music of bands as Pearl Jam,\nSoundgarden and R.E.M. to post-punk\/new wave of The Cure and Joy Division and\nart rock of David Bowie, reaching the nowadays-music of artists as Arctic\nMonkeys, Jack White, Queens of The Stone Age, John Butler Trio and Rival Sons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the very beginning, ATW\u2019s target is to\nfully focus on original and unreleased music, due to the strong composing\napproach of the three members, who alternate themselves in the writing of\nlyrics and music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After lots of live dates as headliners on\nseveral stages, at the beginning of 2019 they decided, with this lineup, to\nrecord their first EP titled \u201cBehind The Light \u2013 The Dawn\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EP will be released and distributed in\nItaly under the label Seahorse Recordings as of November 29<sup>th<\/sup> 2019\nand is composed out of five previously unreleased songs plus a cover. Musical\ninfluences of the band are strongly included within the full length of the\nrecord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tracklist of \u201cBehind The Light\u201d is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Chris<\/li><li>Move, Don\u2019t Move<\/li><li>Keep Standing\nProud<\/li><li>Leave<\/li><li>Bohemian Like You \/ Jumpin\u2019 Jack Flash<\/li><li>Insane \/ The End<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening track of the record is \u201cChris\u201d, an\nopen-hearted letter to Soundgarden and Audioslave\u2019s leader Chris Cornell. The\nriff, as well as the full track, is a clear recall to the dirty sound of early\n90\u2019s Seattle scene. The aggressive mood of the band moves on with the following\ntrack, \u201cMove, Don\u2019t Move\u201d, showing a distorted sound and more ironic-driven\nlyrics on the emotional feelings of love relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third track is the only low-tempo included\ninto the EP. \u201cKeep Standing Proud\u201d incorporates a darker approach on both\nlyrics and music. \u201cKeep Standing Proud\u201d anticipates the first single of the band,\ntitled \u201cLeave\u201d, where About The White comes back to a more abrasive sound not\nhiding a more melodic approach, which gives space to decadent lyrics on the\nhuman need to react in facing critical loses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the double-face cover \u201cBohemian Like You\n\/ Jumpin\u2019 Jack Flash\u201d by The Dandy Warhols and Rolling Stones, reshaped with a\nmore alternative approach, the closing track of the record is \u201cInsane\/The End\u201d,\na picture of the apathy and immobility of the human kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EP perfectly merges the strong points of\nthis lineup, from the powerful and baritone voice by Luca, to Stefano\u2019s pulsing\nbass lines full of overdrive, chorus e flanger and the greatly painted guitar\u2019s\nnotes by Davide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The band, after EP\u2019s recordings, completes the\nlineup with Giorgio Marini on the drums. Giorgio immediately integrates himself\nwith the rest of the band, playing in a straight and precise way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About The White includes these tracks, together\nwith brand-new tracks, into the tracklists of their live dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are currently working on the writing of\nthe new tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gli\nAbout The White nascono a Latina nel gennaio 2018 da un&#8217;iniziativa di tre\namici: Luca Praino (cantante e chitarrista), Stefano Ermini (bassista e backing\nvocals) e Davide D&#8217;Appollonio (chitarrista). I tre condividono la stessa\npassione per la musica internazionale, spaziando dall\u2019alternative di gruppi\ncome Pearl Jam, Soundgarden e R.E.M. alla post-punk\/new wave di The Cure e Joy\nDivision ed art rock di David Bowie fino ad arrivare ad una scena pi\u00f9\ncontemporanea ispirandosi ad artisti come Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Queens of\nThe Stone Age, John Butler Trio e Rival Sons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin\ndall\u2019inizio, l\u2019obiettivo \u00e8 di focalizzarsi sulla musica inedita, data la vena\ncompositiva molto forte dei tre, che si alternano nella scrittura di testi e\nmusiche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dopo\nuna serie di live come headliner su diversi palchi del territorio, con questa\nlineup, gli About The White entrano in studio ad inizio 2019 per registrare il\nprimo EP della band dal titolo \u201cBehind The Light \u2013 The Dawn\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019EP\nuscir\u00e0 e verr\u00e0 distribuito a livello nazionale sotto etichetta Seahorse\nRecordings a partire dal 29 Novembre 2019 e conterr\u00e0 cinque tracce inedite ed\nuna cover. Il riff di apertura e\nl\u2019intera traccia sono un chiaro richiamo al sound ruvido della Seattle anni\n90\u2019. Il mood aggressivo della band si ritrova anche nella traccia successiva\n\u201cMove, Don\u2019t Move\u201d, con sonorit\u00e0 sporche ed un testo molto pi\u00f9 ironico e\nconcentrato sull\u2019alternarsi emotivo dei rapporti di coppia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La\nterza traccia \u00e8 l\u2019unica ballad compresa nell\u2019EP. \u201cKeep Standing Proud\u201d presenta\ndelle atmosfere pi\u00f9 dark sia a livello musicale che a livello di testo. \u201cKeep\nStanding Proud\u201d fa da apripista a \u201cLeave\u201d, il primo singolo degli About The\nWhite, dove si torna ad un sound pi\u00f9 abrasivo pur strizzando l\u2019occhio alla\nmelodia, che fa da tappeto ad un testo decadente che parla della necessit\u00e0 di\nreagire di fronte a perdite importanti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dopo\nla cover a due strati \u201cBohemian Like You \/ Jumpin\u2019 Jack Flash\u201d di The Dandy\nWarhols e Rolling Stones, rivisitata in chiave pi\u00f9 alternativa, l\u2019EP si avvia\nalla chiusura con la traccia \u201cInsane\/The End\u201d, fotografia in musica di apatia\ned immobilismo del genere umano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019EP\nmescola perfettamente i punti di forza dei tre, dalla voce potente e baritonale\ndi Luca alle linee di basso pulsanti ed intrise di overdrive, chorus e flanger\ndi Stefano fino ad arrivare ai ricami chitarristici di Davide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ai\ntre, dopo la registrazione dell\u2019EP, si aggiunge Giorgio Marini alla batteria.\nGiorgio si amalgama alla perfezione con il resto del gruppo, con il suo suonare\nmolto diretto e preciso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gli\nAbout The White portano i pezzi dell\u2019EP, insieme ad altri inediti, nelle\ndiverse date dal vivo.
