TRAUMA è il primo lavoro discografico dei Trauma.
TRAUMA è un EP di 4 brani composti tra l’autunno del 2018 e la primavera del 2019 e registrati in presa diretta al Teatro “Giuseppe Verdi” di Saludecio (RN) il 14 Aprile 2019.
TRAUMA è un viaggio a ritroso nel tempo, filtrato attraverso la lente dei ricordi personali. Un omaggio al rock indipendente pre-Nevermind e agli anni della caduta del Muro di Berlino, della disintegrazione dell’Unione Sovietica, della Guerra del Golfo, di Twin Peaks in prima serata su Canale 5, delle Converse All Star e i jeans strappati, delle feste di Halloween travestiti da Freddy Krueger, dell’iniziazione al sesso e alle droghe, delle scorribande in autostrada per andare a ballare allo Slego e al Velvet Perestrojka. Un’epoca lontana in cui non esistevano ancora internet e i cellulari, e la musica si ascoltava su vinile o musicassetta.
TRAUMA è un fantasma. Una paura atavica. Uno sguardo obliquo sulle cose. Un gesso che graffia la lavagna. Un telefono che squilla minaccioso nel cuore della notte.
TRAUMA è rigorosamente voce, chitarra elettrica in overdrive, basso elettrico in overdrive e batteria. Se ne consiglia l’ascolto ad alto volume su un buon impianto HiFi.
TRAUMA è tutto questo e tanto altro ancora.

TRAUMA is a 4 track EP composed between the autumn of 2018 and the spring of 2019 and recorded live at “Giuseppe Verdi” Theatre in Saludecio (RN) on 14th April 2019.
TRAUMA is a journey back in time, filtered through the lens of personal memories. A tribute to pre-Nevermind independent rock and the years of the fall of Berlin Wall, the disintegration of Soviet Union, the Gulf War, Twin Peaks in prime time on Canale 5, the Converse All Star and the ripped blue jeans, the Halloween parties dressed up like Freddy Krueger, the introduction to sex and drugs, the rides on the highway to go dancing to Slego and Velvet Perestrojka. A bygone age when internet and mobile phones did not exhist yet, and music was heard on vinyl or cassette.
TRAUMA is a ghost. An ancient fear. A sideways glance on things. A chalk scratching the blackboard. A telephone ominously ringing in the middle of the night.
TRAUMA is strictly voice, overdriven electric guitar, overdriven electric bass and drums. We recommend listening to it at high volume on a good HiFi system.
